The Scranton Times-Tribune recently published an article about the upcoming National Debate Coaches Association National Championships. In it, reporter Stacy Brown shares a profile of Brian Manuel, the Scranton native who spearheaded the campaign to bring the NDCA to the Electric City.

 

“I’ve been all over the country and overseas,” Mr. Manuel said. “I love it here in Scranton and there aren’t many places that are better. That’s why I worked to get the championship here, because it shows that, regardless of what the occasion, Scranton should always be included in the conversation. This city should never be excluded.”
